July 3, Fineko/abc.az. Work is underway to liquidate the consequences of the failure of one of the transformers at Mingachevir hydropower plant (the main source of country’s electricity), as a result of which the entire territory of the country was de-energized for several hours.

Baku Metro’s spokesman Bakhtiyar Mammadli ha stated that the traffic on the purple line of the Baku Metro was restored at 08:32 am.

"The metro trains on the line are moving in accord with the schedule," Mammadli said.

At night from 2 to 3 July one of the transformers of the Mingachevir hydropower plant was out of order, and as a result, the entire country was de-energized. The power supply has been partially restored.
