July 5, Fineko/abc.az. KazTransOil JSC shipped 347,100 tons of oil from Tengiz field in the direction of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline to the port of Aktau for export in 2nd quarter of 2023, ABC.AZ was informed at KazTransOil.

In the 1st quarter of 2023, KazTransOil exported 19,200 tons of oil from Tengiz field in this direction.

In 2022, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed to increase oil transportation along the Trans-Caspian corridor. National company KazMunayGas and the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) have signed an agreement envisaging transportation of 1.5 million tons of oil per year from this field in the direction of BTC.
