June 23, Fineko/abc.az. The number of flights between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan will increase from 32 to 42, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Ministry of Industry of Kazakhstan.

This became possible thanks to the signing of the Protocol on Air Communication between the Ministry of Industry & Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Digital Development & Transport of Azerbaijan during the Baku visit of Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov.

The Ministry noted that in accordance with the document, the legal framework for regular flights between the countries has been expanded.

"The expansion of the legal framework will increase the number of flights between the countries, which will increase competition in the air transportation market between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, and will also contribute to further strengthening trade, economic, business, tourism and cultural cooperation between the countries," the Ministry explained.
