Construction, repair and reconstruction of 100-130 schools are planned annually

June 13, Fineko/abc.az. In the coming years, the construction, overhaul and reconstruction of 100-130 schools are planned annually at the expense of state funds in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports that Finance Minister Samir Sharifov made the above-said statement at today's extraordinary meeting of Milli Majlis.

"According to Science & Education Ministry’s data, 962 schools under the jurisdiction of the Ministry needed major repairs and reconstruction in 2021. Last year, AZN 195 million were allocated from the State Budget, 57 schools were built and overhauled," the minister added.

Sharifov noted that 415 schools, including modular schools, have been built and overhauled over the past 5 years: "This year the number of schools in need of capital repairs and reconstruction has decreased to 832".
