May 22, Fineko/abc.az. Lithuania became one of the first European countries to completely get rid of Russia's energy dependence.

ABC.AZ reports that Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda stated about this at the opening of the Lithuanian-Azerbaijani Business Forum.

President Nauseda said that today the main energy strategy of the country is aimed at obtaining energy from renewable sources.

He added that Lithuania is open to investments by Azerbaijani entrepreneurs in this country.

"I believe our cooperation and contacts between our peoples should be not only in the economic sphere, but also in the fields of science, education and culture. Let this business forum be a step in the right direction in our cooperation," the Lithuanian leader added.
