April 27, Fineko/abc.az. According to the reports submitted to the State Agency for Compulsory Health Insurance by medical institutions applying compulsory health insurance, 4.5 million people received medical care within CHI.

ABC.AZ was informed at the Agency that this means that 47% of country's population have used the CHI. The number of services rendered to the population by state medical institutions amounted to 44,136,303 (92% more than in 2021). Last year, 17,836,873 applications were received by medical institutions. According to the statements, 84% of medical services were rendered on outpatient basis, and 16% in hospitals.

Most of those medical services in 2022 accounted for the Sumgait Medical Center. The list of five state medical institutions rendering the largest number of medical services also includes the Ganja City United Hospital, the Republican Clinical Hospital named after Academician M.A.Mirgasimov, the Medical Center named after Narimanov and Clinical Medical Center. And among the most common diseases in the first place are diseases of the general medical examination, endocrine, circulatory, respiratory and digestive systems.

In 2022, the number of operations and procedures performed in public medical institutions doubled compared with 2021 and reached 354,260. Among the most frequently performed surgical operations in public medical institutions are operations and procedures performed on the digestive, gynecological, urological, cardiovascular systems, on the eyes.
