April 20, Fineko/abc.az. Earlier it was reported that communication with Azerbaijani satellite Azersky in space was interrupted, the satellite ceased its activity.
ABC.AZ was informed at Azerkosmos that Azersky is insured, and the early termination of the satellite is an insured event, in accord with which an insurance payment will be made. Azersky is insured for the amount of AZN 45 million. Work has already begun on obtaining the sum insured.
Azersky is insured by Pasha Sığorta, the winner of the tender held in January 2023. In exchange for insurance premiums for AZN 518,000 Pasha Sığorta insured Azersky for AZN 45 million. The insurance compensation will also be paid by the above-said company.
