Liabilities increased in 13 and decreased in 7 insurers

April 20, Fineko/abc.az. As of January 1, 2023, insurance companies’ overall liabilities increased by 28.8% up to AZN 1.027 bn.

ABC.AZ reports that 13 insurers report about increase and seven insurers about decrease of their liabilities. In particular, the total long-term liabilities of the companies increased by 23.6% up to AZN 920.168 million and the total short-term liabilities doubled up to AZN 107.68 million. 13 companies increased their long-term liabilities and 12 ones short-term liabilities.

Last year, the total balance sheet capital of the insurance companies grew by 0.1% up to AZN 427.96 million and the total authorized capital by 0.8% and reached AZN 333.09 million. 13 insurance market participants increased their balance sheet capital, six ones reduced it, and one company (Azərsığorta) had its balance sheet capital faced with capital deficit. Two companies (Günay Sığorta and Naxçıvan Sığorta) increased their authorized capital.
