April 5, Fineko/abc.az. The tax authorities received 6,005 appeals from citizens, and a total of more than AZN 5 million were refunded on 2,001 appeals.

ABC.AZ reports that according to the State Tax Service (under the Economy Ministry), during the consideration of appeals, a number of issues creating difficulties for VAT refund were revealed.

So, 940 appeals incorrectly specified the bank details, which made it impossible to transfer funds.

Since the clarification and re-handling of data takes time, such cases have led to extension of the deadline for submitting appeals.
