5.1 million tons of oil produced in Azerbaijan in two months

March 16, Fineko/abc.az. The oil production with condensate in Azerbaijan amounted to 5.1 million tons for the past 2 months.

ABC.AZ reports that according to the Ministry of Energy, for Jan-Feb 2023, production at Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli block reached 3.1 million tons of oil (60.8% of all production in Azerbaijan for the reported term), at Shah Deniz field - 7 million tons of condensate, and 1.3 million tons of oil with condensate were produced by SOCAR.

Over Jan-Feb 2023, 3.8 million tons of oil with condensate were exported from the ACG block and Shah Deniz field, and SOCAR exported 305,000 tons of oil.

The oil refining at the Baku Refinery in the reporting period amounted to 1.1 million tons.

The Ministry noted that it was extracted 570 million tons of oil from the ACG block since the start of development and as of 1 March 2023, 41 million tons of condensate from Shah Deniz field. In general, export from ACG and Shah Deniz to world markets has exceeded 609 million tons of oil and condensate.
