March 16, Fineko/abc.az. We arrived in Azerbaijan with a delegation of about 60 representatives of 46 companies which want to strengthen relations with your country.

ABC.AZ reports that Lakshmi Prasanna, the director of the Regulation Department of the Indian Pharmaceutical & Export Promotion Council, said this at the Indian-Azerbaijani business event on pharmaceuticals in Baku.

She said that India, known as the pharmaceutical center of the world, is known for producing effective medicines at a very affordable price.

"We are the world's largest supplier of generic medicines, especially retroviral and anti-tuberculosis, to international NGOs. Currently, we export medicines to more than 200 countries. Imports occupy the main place in the pharmaceutical market of Azerbaijan with volume of $850 million. Turkiye, Europe, China and Russia are the largest partners on importing medicines in Azerbaijan, and India ranks 6th in this list, taking 4-5% of total imports," she stressed.
