March 10, Fineko/abc.az. Amelioration & Water Management OJSC distributes 94.5% of the available water resources in the country.

ABC.AZ reports that company’s deputy chairman Rafik Aslanov said about this at briefing "The causes of water shortage in the country & the current situation".

He noted that 5% is distributed by national water operator Azersu OJSC, and 0.5% is distributed in another form:

"There are 25 bn cu m of water resources in our country. Of them, 16.5 bn cu m are groundwater and 8.5 bn cu m are surface water."
