Deripaska's assets worth over $273.5 million seized in Ukraine

February 17, Fineko/abc.az. The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine has satisfied the claim of the Ministry of Justice of the country on the transfer to state ownership of the assets of Russian businessman Oleg Deripaska totaling more than $273.5 million.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the press service of the Security Service of Ukraine.

"According to the SSU materials, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court granted the claim of the Ministry of Justice on the transfer to state ownership of Ukraine of enterprises owned by Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska. The court's decision concerns the Nikolaev alumina plant, as well as mining companies Glukhovsky Quarry of Quartzites, Khustsky Quarry and Yezhelevsky Quarry. The value of the property transferred to Ukraine is more than 10 billion hryvnias (more than $273.5 million)," the Ministry said.

The SSU claims that the businessman allegedly tried to hide his attitude to assets in Ukraine.
