Amount of remuneration of head of Apple to decrease by 40%

January 13, Fineko/abc.az. Apple CEO Tim Cook will receive $49 million in 2023, which is 40% less than in 2022, ABC.AZ reports with reference to electronic database of the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission.

"The total planned amount of Mr. Cook's remuneration in 2023 will be $49 million, which is more than 40% less than the target total remuneration in 2022," the company says.

The Apple Profile Committee, when drafting the document, took into account the feedback from shareholders, company's activities and "Mr. Cook's recommendation to adjust his remuneration in the light of the feedback received".

Corporation’s head approved the decision of the committee to reduce the amount of his remuneration, "recognizing the outstanding leadership qualities of Mr. Cook".

Last year, the Apple CEO received just under $83 million in shares, $12 million in bonuses and $3 million in salary. The number of securities that Cook receives depends on the results of the company's activities.
