January 11, Fineko/abc.az. The head of SpaceX and Tesla, billionaire Elon Musk, who lives in the U.S., got into the Guinness Book of Records.

ABC.AZ reports that the relevant information was distributed by Business Insider.

"Elon Musk (South Africa) has officially broken the world record for the largest loss of personal wealth in history," the Guinness Book of Records said in a statement.

The organization justified its decision with Forbes data, according to which Musk's personal capital fell by $183 bn in just a year.

Before Musk, the previous record holder was Japanese entrepreneur, founder and CEO of Softbank Masayoshi Son. In 2000, he lost $58.6 bn of his personal fortune.

"And don't worry - despite the fact that Musk has lost more money than any other person in history, he won't be starving anytime soon. He is still the second richest man in the world," the Guinness Book of World Records added.
