January 5, Fineko/abc.az. Prices for oil of benchmark grades are increasing in Thursday’s trading after a strong fall following the last two sessions.

The price of March Brent crude futures at the London ICE Futures exchange increased by $0.94 (1.21%) to $78.78 per barrel by 09:20 am. Following the trading on 4 January, Brent crude futures for March fell by $4.26 (5.19%), to $77.84 per barrel.

By 09:20 am, the price of WTI crude oil futures for February on the electronic trading of the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) grew by $0.95 (1.30%) to $73.79 per barrel. Following the trading on 4 January, the value of February futures for WTI oil dropped by $4.09 (5.32%), to $72.84 per barrel.

Over the past two sessions, oil prices have fallen by about 9%.
