November 2, Fineko/abc.az. Tax debts to the State Budget of Azerbaijan as of 1 July 2022 are estimated at AZN 2.29 bn (18% more against the end of 2021 and 36.6% more than at the end of last June).
ABC.AZ reports that such data is given in Accounts Chamber’s conclusion on Draft State Budget 2023.
As of 1 July 2022, the amount of the main tax debt is AZN 1.507 bn (a rise of 36.8% compared with the indicator as of 1 July 2021), financial sanctions – AZN 265.7 million (+14.1%), penalties – AZN 517.5 million (+51.3%).
In the structure of tax debts, AZN 2.1 bn (+31.6%) or 92.7% of the total debt accounts for the nonoil sector and AZN 166.5 million (+2.6-fold) or 7.3% for the oil sector.
As a whole, the tax debts of private organizations are estimated at AZN 1.9 bn (+34.2%) or 83.9% of the total debt and the public sector – AZN 367.9 million (+50.5%) or 16.1%.
According to the Chamber, the amount of taxes excessively transferred by taxpayers to the State Budget of Azerbaijan as of 1 July 2022 amounts to AZN 2.187 bn (26.6% more than at the end of 2021 and 3.1% more than at June 30, 2021).
