August 3, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Jun 2022, the positive trend in the development of the card infrastructure continued, and the continuity of operation of the Interbank Card Center was ensured.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Central Bank that the number of card transactions through the CBA-created ICC in the 1st half of 2022 amounted to 84.6 million.

The transactions in the national currency amounted to AZN 4.1 bn in foreign currency – $14.7 million and 4.7 million euro.

Significant progress has been made in statistical indicators on e-banking services, which are one of the main challenges of our time.

The total number of transfers from current accounts via e-banking for the reporting period reached 54.9 million, and the volume – AZN 111 bn. Compared with the relevant term of 2021, the number of transfers increased 2.8-fold and their volume by 71%.
