June 9, Fineko/abc.az. Grain harvesting has begun in Azerbaijan. This year, autumn cereals were sown on 1,019,934 hectares in our country.

ABC.AZ was informed at the Ministry of Agriculture that 606,338 hectares of arable land account for wheat and 413,596 hectares for barley. Currently, barley is harvested in 38 districts of Azerbaijan.

In low-lying areas, barley harvesting will be completed in the optimal time. In the second decade of June, wheat harvesting will begin in these regions.

As of 9 June, 986 combines are involved in the harvesting process.
