June 7, Fineko/abc.az. Turkey will buy grain from Ukraine with a discount of more than 25%, ABC.AZ reports, citing Turkish Minister of Agriculture & Forestry Vahit Kirisci.
He noted that Ankara is making active diplomatic efforts to prevent grain exports from Ukrainian ports.
"An agreement has been reached with Ukraine on the purchase of grain at a discount of more than 25%. However, they face a dilemma in terms of security and export of products, and they want Turkey to act as an arbitrator in this process. Both Russia and Ukraine trust us.”
He added that two important meetings will be held in Turkey this week, dedicated to the entry of Ukrainian grain into world markets. One of them will be dedicated to the creation of an observation center in Istanbul for the transportation of Ukrainian grain by sea with the participation of representatives of the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Turkey and the UN.
