May 4, Fineko/abc.az. Work is underway in Azerbaijan to organize distance learning, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Education Minister Emin Amrullayev.

According to the minister, there is currently no distance learning program in Azerbaijan: "Joint work is underway with the Milli Majlis Science & Education Committee to form legislative framework in this direction."

The minister points out that distance education is only a form of education: "In order to recognize the knowledge and skills acquired in this way and obtain a diploma, this program must necessarily go through a quality assurance system. Probably, over time we will progress in this direction."
