April 26, Fineko/abc.az. Pensioners will be able to choose independently the type of pension benefit in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports that the parliamentarians discussed today the draft amendments to the Law on Labor Pensions in the 1st reading.

Article 34 of the current law allows for the possibility of switching to all other types of labor pensions, with the exception of changing the old-age pension to disability pension.

The changes will allow citizens to choose the type of pension that is suitable for them - to switch from old-age labor pension to disability labor pension.

The draft amendments were put to the vote and adopted in the 1st reading.
