April 25, Fineko/abc.az. “Given the large number of appeals regarding the proposed changes in the Rules for calculating the amounts of survivor's pensions, we’d like to note that an innovation in this direction is envisaged.”

ABC.AZ reports that Milli Majlis MP and economist Vugar Bayramov wrote about this on his Facebook page.

He noted that the proposed amendment to Article 18 of the Law on Labor Pensions assumes the distribution of the pension of the deceased after the loss of the head of the family among family members:

"If at present a person receiving an old-age or disability pension chooses his pension in case of loss of the head of the family and the right to a survivor's pension arises, then the amount of pension accrued to him is not distributed among other family members. But after the changes, it will happen. For example, after the death of the head of the family receiving 400 manats, his spouse continues to receive his pension. That is, she does not choose the pension of the deceased spouse. In this case, the spouse of the deceased will receive his pension, and the remaining 400 manats will be distributed monthly among family members. The pension capital of the deceased head of the family will also be indexed and increased."
