April 20, Fineko/abc.az. Prices in the construction materials market of Baku, especially for wood, have increased.

ABC.AZ reports that both the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) and the Russian-Ukrainian confrontation have not spared this sphere.

According to entrepreneurs, over the past month, the volume of timber imported in Azerbaijan from Russia has decreased few-fold. This led to an increase in prices.

Against the background of sanctions against Russia, Belarus is in search of new markets for timber exports.

Azerbaijan may be one of the countries that can stand out in this regard. Entrepreneurs say that compared to Belarus, wood materials are imported in our country in smaller volumes.
