April 14, Fineko/abc.az. We’ll join the sanctions if UN imposes them against the Russian Federation, ABC.AZ reports, citing Turkish FM Mevlut Cavusoglu.

"We’ve announced that we don’t accept Russia's attack on Ukraine. We’ve talked about this at international conferences. According to the Montreux agreement, we also cannot close the airspace. If the UN imposes sanctions against Russia, we’ll join."

According to the Turkish minister, despite the difficulties of the current situation related to Ukraine, the possibility for a ceasefire there remains, and Ankara will continue to make efforts to organize new negotiations between the delegations of Kiev and Moscow.
