March 3, Fineko/abc.az. SOCAR Polymer's plants plan to increase production by 15.5% in 2022.
SOCAR acting president and first vice president Rovshan Najaf informs that SOCAR Polymer plants produced a total of 205,200 tons in 2021 (44% more against 2020).
"This year, production is projected to reach 237,000 tons (a rise of 15.5% from the indicator of 2021)," Najaf wrote in his microblog on Twitter.
He also noted that in 2021 SOCAR Polymer exported 175,300 tons of polymer products (growth of 38%).
"Company's income from export activities in 2021 totaled $251.8 million (a rise of 152%). In 2021, SOCAR Polymer's contribution to import substitution amounted to approx. $22.7 million. The positive impact on the balance of foreign trade turnover was approx. $281 million," Najaf emphasized.
He added that Top 5 of buyers of SOCAR Polymer’s output consist of: Russia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, and China.
In general, the SOCAR Polymer plants are designed to produce 10 types of polypropylene and 4 types of high-density polyethylene.
