March 1, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan increased potato exports by 13.5% for 2021, while imports remained at the level of 2020.

ABC.AZ reports that Azerbaijan exported 92,343 tons of potatoes (a rise of 13.5%) for $40.78 million (a rise of 18.6%) last year. Azerbaijan’s main potato exports accounted for Russia. Last year, 85,412 tons of potatoes were exported to this country (a rise of 23.3%) for $38.476 million.

92.5% of potato exports from Azerbaijan accounted for the Russian Federation. In 2021, Azerbaijan imported 182,901 tons of potatoes (a rise of 0.1%) for $44.7 million (decrease of 9.7%). Iran was the main supplier of potatoes to Azerbaijan. 164,544 tons of potatoes for $40.4 million were imported from this country.

In 2020, Azerbaijan exported 81,388 tons of potatoes for $33.786 million.
