February 8, Fineko/abc.az. Nut prices worry Zakatala farmers. Farmers say that the harvest, which used to cost over 5 manats per kg, is now bought from them for 4 manats. The farmers can't even sell the nuts they stored for the winter months at the desired price.

ABC.AZ reports that the nut farmers also say about an increase in the cost of hazelnut growing.

"But prices on the market are increasing. So, nuts brought from the village are sold here for 2 times more expensive. Sellers say that the price of this fruit, which used to cost 5 manats per kg, now ranges from 8-9 manats. Sellers associate the price increase with seasonality. The nuts grown in Zagatala are in the greatest demand on the market," it is informed.
