February 4, Fineko/abc.az. The Food Safety Agency’s chief state veterinary inspector has made a decision on temporary ban for the import of live chickens in Azerbaijan, with the exception of one-day chickens with the purpose to prevent the spread of highly pathogenic avian influenza virus in the country.

ABC.AZ was informed at the AFSA that at the same time, an appeal was sent to the State Customs Committee to take appropriate measures with respect to vehicles arriving in the country or passing through transit in order to strengthen control measures in this connection.
