December 9, Fineko/abc.az. Two large streets are to be laid in Agdam - one of them will be 60 m wide and another one 55 m wide. There will be greenery along the streets, as well as bus, pedestrian and bicycle paths.

ABC.AZ informs that Azerbaijani president’s special representative for liberated territories (with the exception of Shusha district) stated about this in an interview for newspaper Xalq.

"According to the Agdam General Plan, by 2040 the geographical coverage of the city will increase almost 3-fold. About 1,750 hectares are planned for this purpose.

Agdam will become the 4th most populous city in Azerbaijan. That is, it will have 100,000 inhabitants. It is planned to build many different facilities of social, cultural, and economic infrastructure in the city. The average population density in Agdam is about 57 people per hectare. For comparison, in Sumgait, for example, there are 230 people per hectare. In our second largest city of Ganja, the average density is 61 people per hectare. In other words, Agdam will be famous for its modernity and level of urbanization and will create the impression of a more modern city. In other words, the modern appearance of Baku is what it is. But if we say so, it will give the impression of Ganja more in terms of density and concentration. It will be symbiosis of Baku, Sumgait and Ganja," Huseynov said.
