Oil gets more expensive, and Brent is at $71.97 a barrel

September 8, Fineko/abc.az. Prices for oil of standard grades are increasing in Wednesday’s auction.

By 10:25 am, at the London ICE Futures Exchange the November’s Brent crude futures grew by $0.28 (0.39%) up to $71.97 per barrel. Following the trading on 7 September the price of Brent oil futures for November fell by $0.53 (0.73%) to $71.69 per barrel.

By 10:25 am, at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) the price of the October’s WTI oil futures rose by $0.35 (0.51%) up to $68.70 per barrel. Following the trading on 7 September the price for October’s WTI oil futures fell by $0.94 (1.36%) to $68.35 per barrel.

The publication of data from the American Petroleum Institute (API) on raw material reserves in the U.S. is expected. API receives information from the operators of refineries, oil storage facilities and pipelines on a voluntary basis.

On Thursday, the U.S. Department of Energy will publish a weekly report on commercial reserves of oil, gasoline and distillates in the country.
