October 9, Fineko/abc.az. The Armenian side spread news about the alleged rocket attack on a church in the historical city of Azerbaijan – Shusha. In this context, we have great respect for the feelings of Christians in the world. But we regret to note that the Armenian side is speculating and manipulating this issue. The materials presented by the Armenian side about the rocket attack on the church are contradictory, and there are outright lies.

ABC.AZ reports that the above-said statement was made by Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan Hikmet Hajiyev.

He noted that first of all, the Azerbaijani army does not target churches and other civilian objects. At that time, the Azerbaijani army did not carry out any attacks in that direction.

Secondly, the icons inside the church would have been seriously damaged by rocket fire. However, the photos show that the icons are not damaged.

Third, Armenia first stated that the strike was allegedly carried out from an F-16 plane, and it was an aerial bomb, and then reported that it was a missile strike. The Azerbaijani armed forces has no F-16s in service.
