October 9, Fineko/abc.az. The liberation of territories from occupation by our glorious Azerbaijani Army will also have a positive impact on economic development, employment, and the creation of new jobs, ABC.AZ reports citing MP Vugar Bayramov.

The MP noted that the lands liberated from occupation will have a special share in the economy of Azerbaijan.

According to Bayramov, our districts and cities that are part of the Upper Karabakh economic region are considered to have sufficient economic potential after restoration:

"This economic region includes the city of Khankendi, the Aghdam, Jabrayil, Fizuli, Khojavend, Khojali, Shusha and Terter districts.

With a total area of 7,248 sq km, this economic region makes up 8.4% of the country's territory. The economic area is rich in polymetallic ores, construction materials (marble, cement raw materials, limestone), mineral springs, and has a high industrial and agricultural potential. At the same time, after the liberation from occupation, these territories will have a great tourism potential. After the full restoration of our territorial integrity, the economic region of Upper Karabakh will make a special contribution to the economic development of Azerbaijan."
