October 8, Fineko/abc.az. Strategic objects are the guarantor of the region's security, so everyone is interested in the absence of threats to their normal activities, ABC.AZ reports, citing Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani, when the latter was commenting on Armenia's attempt to hit the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline with a missile.

He noted that it is important to avoid military influence on such facilities: "The BTC pipeline, which provides energy security, is a significant strategic object for regional and international partners. Important projects implemented in the South Caucasus are in the sphere of Georgia's interests, and the processes taking place in this direction are constantly monitored. We’re negotiating this issue with partner countries where strategic facilities are located in the region, as well as with our strategic partners - the U.S. and the EU."
