September 4, Fineko/abc.az. ING Group, the largest banking group in the Netherlands, has revised its economic growth outlook for Azerbaijan. According to the bank's updated report, Azerbaijan’s GDP is projected to expand by 1.9% in 2026, 3% in 2027, and 2.3% in 2028.

Compared to previous estimates, ING downgraded its 2026 GDP growth forecast by 0.1 percentage points while maintaining its projections for 2027 and 2028. Consequently, average annual GDP growth between 2026 and 2028 is estimated at 2.4%. ING projects quarterly growth to reach 3% in Q3 2026 and 3.3% in Q4 2026.

For comparison, Azerbaijan's Ministry of Economy forecasts a 1.7% growth for 2026, while the Central Bank of Azerbaijan expects 0.5%.
