Gold Rises to $4,641 — Hits Three-Month High

09:31 - 24.08.2026

August 24, Fineko/abc.az. Gold prices rose on Monday to their highest level in over three months, supported by a weakening US dollar.

Spot gold gained 0.8% to reach $4,641.27 per ounce, its highest mark since May 15, after surging over 5% last week. US gold futures increased by 0.4% to $4,697.70.

The weaker dollar makes gold more attractive to buyers using other currencies. Markets are now focused on upcoming US inflation metrics and Fed Chair Kevin Warsh's speech at the Jackson Hole symposium. Spot silver stood at $68.98, platinum at $1,878.88, and palladium at $1,350.
