August 10, Fineko/abc.az. In the first seven months of this year, turnover registered through new-generation point-of-sale (POS) cash registers in Azerbaijan reached 17,588.4 million AZN.

According to the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy, this represents a 14.7% increase compared to the same period last year.

As of August 1, a total of 115,289 new-generation cash registers have been installed across the country. The rollout of these smart devices continues to enhance transaction transparency, curb illicit trade, and support comprehensive tax oversight.
