Databricks Extends Strategic Azure Partnership with Microsoft into 2030s

July 24, Fineko/abc.az. Data analytics and artificial intelligence platform Databricks has announced an expansion of its strategic partnership with Microsoft, extending the collaboration into the 2030s.

Under the agreement, Databricks will deepen its reliance on Microsoft Azure and its custom Azure Cobalt processors to power its core operations and enterprise AI workloads. Meanwhile, Microsoft will continue embedding Databricks' AI capabilities, including its conversational analytics tool Genie, across its software ecosystem.

The move comes shortly after Databricks secured a new funding round valuing the San Francisco-based firm at $188 billion. Its platform is currently used by over 20,000 organizations worldwide, including 70% of the Fortune 500.
