July 8, Fineko/abc.az. The State Tax Service discussed the role of innovations in the fight against tax evasion at the XVIII International Symposium "Theory and Practice of Tax Reforms" in St. Petersburg.
According to the Tax Service, the event was attended by representatives of the Neva Academy of the Federal Tax Service of Russia, the Institute of Economics and Industrial Management of St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, other scientific and educational institutions, as well as representatives of China, Germany, Uzbekistan, and other countries.
The event parties discussed such topics as the theoretical, methodological, infrastructural, and practical aspects of fiscal incentives for technological innovations, the role of innovations in combating tax evasion, regional and sectoral challenges, and the strategic directions of tax policy in the application of AI and technologies and ensuring country's technological sovereignty. The participants were presented with positive experiences in tax incentives for technological innovations.
The event was attended by Nazim Aliyev, Head of the Science, Innovation & Cooperation Department at the State Tax Service Training Center.
He gave presentations "The Use of Innovative Technologies in Combating Tax Crime" and "Azerbaijan's Experience in Tax Incentivization of Technological Innovations". Tax Service’s representative also participated in a training session on the theme "Digital Analytics in the Tax Administration System" held as part of the symposium.
