European Commission rules out possibility of EU returning to Russian gas

June 30, Fineko/abc.az. The European Union does not plan to return to purchasing Russian gas, ABC.AZ informs, quoting Anna-Kaisa Itkonen, an official representative of the European Commission (EC).

She added that despite the ongoing energy crisis, preparations are currently underway to introduce a complete ban on the purchase of Russian oil. The European Commission intends to adhere to its strategic course towards complete independence from Russian energy resources.
