June 24, Fineko/abc.az. In the 1st quarter of 2026, the money transfers between Azerbaijan and the U.S. on individual transactions amounted to $40.09 million. Of this amount, $23.91 million was transferred from the U.S. to Azerbaijan and $16.18 million from Azerbaijan to the U.S.

ABC.AZ informs that according to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, the money transfers from the U.S. to Azerbaijan increased by 2.8% year-on-year and reached $23.91 million.

At the same time, the money transfers from Azerbaijan to the U.S. declined by 13.9% to $16.18 million.

As a result, Azerbaijan's positive balance in money transfers from the U.S. reached $7.73 million. For comparison, in the first quarter of 2025, this figure was equal to $4.48 million, which means that the positive balance increased by 72.5% over the year.

In the 1st quarter of 2026, the U.S. ranked 4th among the countries that send the most money transfers to Azerbaijan, making up 8.1% of the overall amount received. At the same time, the U.S. became the second-largest destination for money transfers from Azerbaijan (15.6%), behind only Turkey.
