CBA: Selling price of Azerbaijani oil grew by 7% for Q1

June 16, Fineko/abc.az. Following Q1 of 2026, the average actual selling price of Azerbaijani oil was $79.5 per barrel.

ABC.AZ informs that Samir Nasirov, Director of the Statistics Department of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, made this statement during a briefing on the publication of balance of payments indicators for Q1. He stressed that this indicator was 7% higher against Q1 of 2025.

Gas prices and the macroeconomic effect:

The cost of blue fuel: Nasirov said that during the first quarter of 2026, the average selling price of Azerbaijani natural gas was fixed at $268 per 1,000 cu m.

Impact on the balance of payments: According to Nasirov, price fluctuations in the global energy markets remain a key factor determining the dynamics of Azerbaijan's foreign economic indicators and formation of country's balance of payments surplus.
