June 12, Fineko/abc.az. Half of the lands allotted for investors in Karabakh are not yet used.

ABC.AZ informs that President’s Special Representative in Aghdam, Fuzuli and Khojavend districts Emin Huseynov made the relevant statement at a meeting devoted to the State Program on production & processing of agricultural, fisheries and aquaculture products in Azerbaijan 2026-2030.

Huseynov said that about half of the land fund intended for investors in Aghdam, Fuzuli and Khojavend districts has not yet been used: "The total area of arable land in these areas is more than 95,000 hectares. Of them, 50,000 hectares are to be allocated to entrepreneurs as part of investment projects. Of the land allotted to investors, currently about 24,000 hectares, or 49%, are not yet in use. This creates ample opportunities for new investments in agricultural production, agro-processing, animal husbandry, horticulture, fishing and other areas.

"Huseynov noted that in the coming period, one of the main priorities will be to attract local and foreign investors to the region.
