Baku to Host the 2nd US World Artificial Intelligence Week

June 2, Fineko/abc.az. This year, Baku will host the 2nd US World Artificial Intelligence (AI) Week.

According to ABC.AZ, this was announced during the inaugural meeting of the Azerbaijan-US Economic Dialogue.

Within the framework of the First Economic Dialogue, panel sessions were held focusing on regional connectivity, trade and transit, energy security, investments, artificial intelligence, and digital infrastructure.

Key highlights of the discussions:

  • Regional Projects and Logistics: The sessions focused on the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP), the Middle Corridor, and the expansion of regional logistics capabilities. The parties also discussed new opportunities for US companies driven by Azerbaijan's favorable business environment and its growing connectivity with Europe and Central Asia.

  • AI and Digital Infrastructure: US high-tech solutions were presented during the panels. The sides reviewed cooperation in data centers, the implementation of AI technologies, the development of regulatory frameworks, and future partnerships in this field.

Following the meeting, a number of documents on creating digital infrastructure in Azerbaijan, technology transfer, and the implementation of efficient industrial solutions, alongside the Protocol of the Dialogue, were signed with the participation of Azerbaijan's Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov and US Assistant Secretary of State for Economic, Energy, and Business Affairs Caleb Orr. A meeting with business circles was also held to emphasize the importance of developing private sector cooperation and building new partnerships.
