22 May, Fineko/abc.az. In recent years, Azerbaijan has accelerated the implementation of large-scale economic initiatives aimed at diversifying the economy and ensuring sustainable growth.
ABC.AZ reports that the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, Ali Asadov, made this statement today during his speech at the meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government in Ashgabat.
"Today, Azerbaijan is confidently moving forward on the path of sustainable and comprehensive development. Industry, agriculture, the transport-logistics sector, and high-tech areas of the economy are consistently developing," he noted.
According to the Prime Minister, the development of "green energy" remains one of the main priorities of state policy: "Large-scale projects in the field of renewable energy sources not only contribute to strengthening environmental sustainability but also serve to expand the country's investment and export potential."
A. Asadov emphasized that special attention is being paid to the restoration of the Karabakh region, where a qualitatively new model of sustainable development is being implemented through the creation of "green energy zones," the application of modern infrastructure solutions, innovative technologies, and the concepts of "smart cities" and "smart villages."
"Already today, the region is becoming an important space for economic activity, investments, and sustainable development," he added.
A. Asadov noted that Azerbaijan is strengthening its role as a reliable transport and logistics hub connecting Europe and Asia: "The implementation of large-scale infrastructure projects and the development of international transport corridors contribute to the expansion of the country's transit potential and the enhancement of logistical connectivity."
