May 20, Fineko/abc.az. In Karabakh, settlements are being integrated into an intelligent management system.

ABC.AZ reports that President’s Special Representative for Jabrayil, Gubadli and Zangilan districts, Vahid Hajiyev, stated this at the event "Smart & Sustainable Cities Projects in Azerbaijan", organized within the 13th session of the World Urban Planning Forum in Baku (WUF13).

"Today, another important element that we use in our work is not only the construction of houses, but also how we manage these villages and towns. One of the systems that we use today is the smart control system. In fact, it is a Geographic Information System (GIS) platform that integrates village master plans. By the way, it unites all the villages and towns we have created with these master plans. This allows us to plan, build, and manage human settlements more efficiently. Thus, we can say that almost all land plots, buildings, roads, utilities, energy, gas, water and communication lines are recorded (mapped) in this management system. This platform allows us to monitor construction and infrastructure in real time, supports faster decision-making and helps us manage future development more effectively," he said.
