May 1, Fineko/abc.az. In the 1st quarter of 2026, bp's direct costs on Azerbaijan–Georgia–Turkey region under contracts signed with local companies, as well as indirect (subcontracting) costs on local labor and materials through foreign contractors operating in the region, totaled $494.6 million (a 33.5% rise against Jan-Mar 2025).

ABC.AZ informs, referring to bp’s report, that the company spent $205 million in joint ventures with local partners (14 enterprises each) for Jan-Mar 2026.

According to the report, company's expenses on activities of foreign contractors in the country (for 55 companies) amounted to $134.5 million. In addition, during Jan-Mar 2026, bp's expenses on 169 small and medium-sized enterprises reached $135.7 million and on 15 state-owned companies - $19.6 million.
