Date of commissioning of new electronic scales installed on roads announced

March 31, Fineko/abc.az. Starting from April 2, new electronic scales installed on public roads will be put into operation in Azerbaijan, ABC.AZ informs, referring to the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA).

According to the agency, electronic scales will be installed on the following sections: M-2 Baku – Alat–Gazakh – border with Georgia, 451.2 km (in the direction of Baku, S18, Agstafa), M-2 Baku– Alat–Gazakh – border with Georgia, 451.2 km (in the direction of Gazakh, S19, Agstafa), M-2 Baku– Alat–Gazakh – border with Georgia, 343.3 km (towards Baku, S20, Ganja), M-2 Baku - Alat–Gazakh – border with Georgia, 343.3 km (towards Gazakh, S21, Ganja), R-18 Mingachevir – Mingachevir – Bahramtepe Station, 13.5 km (in the direction of Baku, S22, Mingachevir), as well as R-18 Mingachevir – Mingachevir Station – Bahramtepe, 13.5 km (in the direction of Mingachevir, S23).

The Agency asked drivers to strictly observe the permissible dimensions of vehicles, weight and axle load standards.

It is reported that in case of violation of the rules, administrative liability is provided.
