February 23, Fineko/abc.az. In 2025, Azerbaijan imported 73,678 hybrid vehicles (vehicles powered by electric motor and internal combustion engine) for $1.428 billion.

Compared with the figures for 2024, the figure is 2-fold more in value terms and 2.8-fold more in quantity, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statitics Committee.

Azerbaijan imported 62,488 hybrid cars from China (+4.8) for $1.132 billion (3.6-fold more than a year ago) and 5,031 (-23%) cars for $93.31 million from Japan. (2 %), 2,903 cars (+69 %) from South Korea for $69.6 million (+81%), 1,718 cars (+3.6%) from the USA for $46.51 million (25%), 615 cars (52%) from Germany for $36.91 million (54%).

50% of overall hybrid vehicle imports (26,197 cars) by Azerbaijan in 2024 was carried out from China.
