January 27, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan imported 298,246 live sheep for $32.2 million for Jan-Nov 2025.

ABC.AZ informs that according to the State Statistics Committee, the figure is 94% more in value and 76% more in quantity compared with Jan-Nov 2024.

Our country imported 128,608 heads of sheep for $14.9 million from Russia (10-fold more than a year earlier and 9-fold times more in quantitative terms). Georgia imported 169,638 sheep for $17.3 million (17% more in value and 12% more in quantity).

In 2024, 88% of the 182,000 sheep brought to Azerbaijan were imported from Georgia.
